It wasn’t really a march, more of an assault on DC.  The Gauchos went to the Under Armour Northeast middle school circuit and marched through every opponent with an offensive and defensive assault that would have made the Gaucho legends proud.  With a combined 11-1 record and 22 point margin of victory our Young Choz proved to be the best program on this weekend.

Saturday, Coach Al and his 5th grade 11U team opened the session with a 49-20 win over the Philly Aztecs.  Their lone set back came at the hands of the CT Select 52-41.  Meanwhile the 6th grade 12U Choz were putting the hammer down 55-13, on the 12U CT Select version.  This came after they had opened with a 69-32 warmup against Philly Triple Threat.  Quietly, Coach Dante and the 7th grade 13U Choz defeated Team Thrill 52-47 and Philly Triple Threat 55-29.

Sunday, the 5th grade started with victories over VA Havoc 42-22 and NJ Bulldogs 47-18, to finish 3-1, going into the next session.  Coach Dante and his 7th grade Gauchos continued their dominance with wins over Bay State Jaguars 62-37 and Phenom Select 54-33.  Their 4-0 record has them in first place going into the next session.  The YW Ballers provided little resistance to Coach Mike and his 6th grade team in a 61-27 victory.  What was anticipated to be the most competitive game of the weekend, our Young Choz faced nationally ranked, Team Thrill UAA, ended up being a one sided victory 63-52 and a 4-0 record.

Our Young Choz are going into the next Under Armour Futures session June 1-2, in Sportica NJ, in position to qualify for the National Tournament.  They will continue to put in the work necessary to maintain this level of excellence.  Keep Working, No Excuses.
