BBall Spotlight Recognizes

Gauchos in their Top 75

Leading the way in the class of 2022 is our own Antonio Sellers.  The 6’1” point forward is ranked #1 by BBall spotlight.  Antonio plays the game well beyond his years.  He handles the ball well for his size, has superior court vision and can get to anywhere on the court when he wants to.  He is one of the leaders on his nationally ranked team.

Ranked #27 in the class of 2020 is CJ Robinson.  CJ is one of the best defenders in his class, both inside and out on the perimeter.  He sets the tone on the defensive end.  CJ is turning into a stellar point guard who sees the floor very well and makes his teammates better.

At #36 in the class of 2020 is the smooth swingman 6’1” Demarco Watson.  Demarco has proven himself as great interior player, rebounds with the best of them.  Demarco has elevated his game by hitting the open jump shot and being able to put the ball on the floor and getting to the basket.  He is a monster in the transition game.  He will be climbing up the ranking in the near future.

In the class of 2021, also ranked #36 is Malachi Smith.  Mali (as we call him) can hit from anywhere on the floor.  With deceptive speed he can create his own shot and get to the basket.  His mid-range game is very dangerous because of a silky jumper.

We at the Gauchos know this next player is much better than he is ranked.  One of the best shooters in the country, yeah I said it the country.  At #57 in the class of 2020 is RJ Davis.  RJ has led his team in scoring for as long as he has been with the program.  He has hit buzzer beaters to win chips.  He has played big in big games.  Numerous MVP’s in big tournaments are proof that RJ is a big time player.  BBall you got this one wrong, but it’s your opinion.  Thanks for the recognition.

Congratulations to all our guys for work well done.
