Memorial Day in NYC means the AAU National Qualifier at Island Garden in Hempstead Long Island. This year 5 of our 7 teams that went to the championship round secured the gold for our program. All teams have qualified for the Nationals but the following teams will be number 1 seeds.
Coach Steve Harris and our 10U Gauchos defeated the Rising Stars 44-33. Coach Mitch and the 12U Choz made quick work of Black Ops 54-45. These Young Choz followed that up with a 6th grade win over Rising Stars 60-42. Coach Dwayne and our 9U Gauchos edged out Riverside Hawks 54-48. To complete the program dominance over NYC AAU basketball, Coach Skeeter and our 14U Gauchos once again defeated our long standing rival Riverside Hawks 52-41.
